Formation
of New Non-Lawyer Professional Group at The Center for American
and International Law
I
am pleased to announce the formation of a new educational
and networking resource based in the Dallas area for all non-attorney
professionals. The Center for American and International Law
(CAIL) has established the Non-Lawyer Professional Group (NLPG)
as a division of its institution.
CAIL
was founded in 1947 and has been active in the education of
members of the legal community from all 50 states and over
100 countries. CAIL saw a need in the non-attorney community
for dynamic educational programs and the NLPG division was
formed to reach out to the non-lawyer professional. The new
NLPG division's main purpose is education in all areas of
practice for the non-attorney. The division is for all non-lawyer
professionals including paralegals, clerks, administrative
staff, and information technology specialists.
The
NLPG is actively developing education opportunities in various
practice disciplines. Our first programs will be held this
fall and
will focus on intellectual property and internet law. We are
developing programs that will include innovative approaches
such as a new evening Supper Study series, e-learning, and
web based programs as well as traditional seminars and workshops.
Take
a moment to lean more about the new division, the CAIL institute,
and how to become involved. Membership in the NLPG division
is open to everyone.
Feel
free to contact me with any questions or suggestions by email
at candersen@cailaw.org.
I
look forward to seeing you at one of our NLPG events soon.
