About ILGS


ILT programs are designed for U.S. and international audiences and address both technology related issues and intellectual property law.

Much of the work of the Institute is done through its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is comprised of representatives designated by ILT members. Members of the Institute's Advisory Board are entitled to, inter alia:

  • Attend tuition-free the Institute's annual Intellectual Property Law Conference;
  • Attend tuition-free the Institute's annual International Law and Technology Forum;
  • Discounted tuition at all other programs of the Institute; and
  • Attend cost-free the annual reception and dinner and other meetings of the Advisory Board.
Educational Programs


46th Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference

Led by conference co-chairs Elisabeth A. Evert (Founding Partner, Hitchcock Evert LLP, Dallas) and Bruce S. Sostek (Thompson Knight LLP, Dallas), the 46th Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference will be held November 10-11, 2008, at the Center for American and International Law in Plano, Texas. The Institute for Law and Technology Advisory Board Dinner will take place on Monday evening, November 10.

Annual ILT Forum
The Forum was designed for the ever-growing number of corporate counsel and outside lawyers in the U.S. and around the world whose practice requires expertise in evolving areas of technology law. Details about the 4th Annual Law & Technology Forum will be posted soon.

The 3rd Annual Law & Technology Forum focused on Patent Procurement, Licensing and Litigation in China.

Membership Activities

The work of the ILT is done primarily through its Advisory Board and Executive Committee. The Advisory Board is comprised of representatives designated by ILT Members.

The Advisory Board meets this year on November 9, 2006, at the conclusion of the first day of the 44th Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference, mixing business with pleasure in the form of its annual Advisory Board reception and dinner.
