Advisory Board

Much of the work of the Institute for Energy Law is done through the Institute’s Advisory Board comprised of representatives designated by IEL Members and through the various Advisory Board committees, together with the Editors of The Oil and Gas Reporter.

Each IEL Member is entitled to appoint one or more representatives to the Advisory Board (Supporting Members may designate three Advisory Board representatives, and Sustaining Members may designate six (or more) Advisory Board representatives).

The Advisory Board meets each February on the day before the Annual Oil and Gas Law Conference, following business with pleasure in the form of its annual Advisory Board reception and dinner. The 2010 Annual Meeting of the Advisory Board was held February 17 at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel. The Annual Advisory Board Dinner was held the same evening at the Houston Country Club.

Members of the Advisory Board are encouraged to participate in the work of the IEL by joining one or more committees. Advisory Board committees meet twice a year.
